FINAL SPRING CONCERT DATES AT Fairmount Park

SPRING ORCHESTRA CONCERT (violin, viola, cello students):
Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 7pm.
Encore Friday Assembly Concert: Friday May 26 at 8am.

SPRING BAND CONCERT (flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone, percussion students):

*Special Combined Rehearsal for all beginning and Intermediate band students Friday May 26 at 12:30pm on the stage in the lunchroom.

Spring Band Concert-Wednesday May 31, 2017 at 7pm.
Encore Friday Assembly Concert: Friday June 2 at 8am.

Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 7pm.
Encore Friday Assembly Concert: Fri. June 9 at 8am.

Students need to come to the music room at 6:30pm for Wednesday evening concerts.

WEDNESDAY CONCERT DRESS FOR ALL STUDENTS: Students should wear black or dark bottoms and white or light tops for concerts such as: black or dark pants, black or dark slacks, black or dark dress, black or dark skirt, and black or dark shoes, and white or light shirt with a collar (polo shirts are ok), white or light blouse. You have worked hard to sound your best and should look your best for the evening concert! For Friday Assembly concerts, you can wear what you typically do on a school day.

 

Fairmount Park Blues Night April 5

The-bluesYou are invited to our first ever Fairmount Park Blues Night!  Concert scheduled for Wednesday April 5, at 7pm in the lunchroom. This will be a 30-40 minute concert and audience participation event of some soul searching, toe tapping, blues music!

Special Blues performances by the Cantate Choir, Ms. Cowan’s and Ms. Kelly’s class and introducing the fabulous “Falcon Allstars Blues Band” (aka FABB), featuring Fairmount Park parents and teachers on bass, drums, guitars and keyboard. 

 

The show starts at 7:00pm but students who are performing need to arrive by 6:45pm. No specific dress code for the evening, but blues attire, (hats, ties, and sunglasses) is encouraged!

Thank you for helping make this first time event a memorable one. 

Orchestra Concert this week!

To all Beginning and Intermediate String members-

Our Winter Concert is Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 7pm.  All concerts are on Wednesday and start at 7pm in the lunchroom and include an “encore” performance at the next Friday during our Friday Assembly at 8am (January 20). Students need to come to the music room at 6:30pm for Wednesday evening concerts.

EVENING CONCERT ATTIRE FOR ALL STUDENTS: Students should wear black or dark bottoms and white or light tops for concerts such as: black or dark pants, black or dark slacks, black or dark dress, black or dark skirt, and black or dark shoes, and white or light shirt with a collar (polo shirts are ok), white or light blouse. 2017 Choir rehearsals start the week of January 9

We will begin our next round of choir rehearsals with new music for our Spring concert the week of January 9 (not the first week of January) as follows:

Prep Choir for Students grades 1-2 will start Tuesday January 10, 2017, 2:10-3:10pm

Cantate Choir for Students grades 3-5 will start  Thursday January 12, 2017, 2:10-3:10pm

**You do not need to sign-up for choir again if you enrolled in September**
